Website Structure
The structure of your website is very important and may determine the success or failure of the site. To start, the main goal of any website is to get their visitors to act. When a customer acts on a website they have become a source of income for the website designer. Secondly, in order to get more customers to act the website must persuade them to take action. Instead of merely allowing the customer to act out of their own ability, an effective website persuades the user to act in a certain way. In the process of persuasion a good way to efficiently persuade the user is to use the process known as uncovery. This process is essentially the uncovery of truth. In a website it is essential to allow the customer to uncover the truth of why they are using the website. Another aspect of persuasion is the wireframing technique. This is the core of what the user is using the website for. Wireframing is the base layer and core of the website and how the website is physically supported in order to allow the customers to use it. The purpose of wireframing is to figure out what the customer wants to do with the website. Lastly, the acronym KISS is one of the most important and often missed aspects of a website. KISS stands for Keep it Simple Stupid. This saying is what all website designers need to remember, the user wants a simple, intuitive website that caters directly to their needs. There is no point in creating a complex and complicated site that has many different uses. The customer will easily get lost and lose interest in a website that offers too many options or services. Using these few steps, the user will feel appreciated and leave them more likely to use the website over and over again.
